There is no tester for a mobo available to the general public that I know of, so process of elimination is the only way.įirst, reset the BIOS back to factory default. The only way to determine if it's the mobo is a systematic testing of all components until you are only left with the motherboard. Since you can get to the BIOS, it's not the CPU. Fans spin up, including the CPU heatsink fan, and the power-lamp is lit on the mobo, but other than that everything is dead. There is no keyboard recognition beep, the monitor is dead-black, no curser blinking.
